How should one prep a trailer for storage to keep the mice out of the bottle and hose storage areas? Is there any other tips I should know about? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I keep poison (pellets) in the bathroom and in the living area. When they eat it, they quickly go looking for water, and since there is no water in the camper, they leave and don't come back because they are DEED!

I usually take old medicine bottles ,punch holes inn the top then fill w\ moth balls. Bounce fabric softners work as well.

When we store the cars for the winter, we put Bounce dryer sheets all over the interior, in the trunk, and on the valve covers. It has worked for us for 5 years now. We use moth balls in the attic to keep them out of there as well.

I've never had any problems with mice, but we take our cat when we go camping. I wonder if his scent keeps the mice away?

Having a cat's presence makes hugh difference for mice picking nesting spots nearby. Have lived same place for over 20 years now and good number of years ago, neighborhood cat killing dog moved in and captured most the cats before he was gotten rid of. That winter was the worst I've ever seen for mice&rats but by next winter most everyone had cats again and mouse population was back down to minimal. Also, moth balls work well as deterent. Jim.
