Trailer Tongue Jack Problems

Our 2011 Springdale's Elec tongue jack would not work yesterday. Depress switch for Up/Down and silence, no hint of motion

Checked the connection at the battery, and the fuse. Similarly the light on the unit would not work, do elec tongue jacks have common failure issues? First unit we have had, that has elec stabilizers and tongue jack, just wondering if they are failure prone?

Since the light does not work, it is most likely a power issue. I would start there, and check the ground as well, as anything electrical needs a return path.

My vote as well. Had the same type of problem on the electric winch on my car trailer.

Went back and checked it yesterday, at first there was no movement, then I happened to put some pressure on the unit and must have moved it just enough to make ground. Lights flickered, I removed a bolt and re-attached it. Seemed to do the trick!
Will pull all three bolts before we actually plan on using it (ice fishing) and make sure that it has a Good connection to the frame. JJ
