Does anyone have the overall width of the truck and the trailer tow mirrors? I currently have a 7''X9" garage door which my '99 3500 with stock morrors just slides by. Wondering if the wider mirrors will still clear on an '04. With the building trim on the door jam I have 3-4" per side to play with now... ...

Gotta figure this out so I can order my new truck!!!

Although i dont have any numbers, you could do like my dad does... .

roll down driver window and collapse drivers mirror in next to the door.

That should give you the width.

The trailer tow mirrors are an absolute must if you ever look in the mirrors. ;) Heated, power, and flat so you can tell how far away things are. Plan on folding one in if you have to but definitely order them.

I can tell you on my 03 with the mirrors folded in I have about 2 inches on each side through an 8 ft door. With the mirrors out I can't get it through the door.

just went outside to measure my 04

in the normal position they are 103-1/2" or 8' 7-1/2"

in the extended position they are 110-1/2" or 9' 2-1/2"

I went out & measured also. My opening measures exactly 108" (9ft), and the width between the ends of the factory tow mirrors is ~103½". I measured ~2 ¼" clearance on each side, though it sure doesn't look like it when pulling or backing through...

The truck is an '03 3500 4x4 Quadcab LWB, SRW...

Many Thanks....

Guys,

Thanks for the measurements... . looks like I will be folding at least 1 in each time I go in the garage. Do you think they will hold up to daily fold in/out?

Unfortunately... no new garage for the new truck... . but probably a pole barn for the boat!!!!

FJfonda, are you still playing with MatchBox cars???

Course, 7"x9" is almost big enough for a Tonka!!!!

LOL, just ribbin a little :D

JHardwick,

Actually... . die cast models! Too many brain cells are wondering if side airbags and power pedals have a place in the truck order.

hmmmmm, i like my power pedals, but stayed clear of the side curtains ... ... ... ... ... .

I was really only ***ttin with ya about 7"X9" as opposed to 7'X9' ... ... ... ... nevermind, your obviously stressed over spending the money ... ... ... ... ..... DO IT, YOU BE GLAD YOU DID!!!
