Last call for a free Haul (NC to TX)

Well- got a few spare hours this weekend to look in to rewiring the trailer block in the bed. AS you may remember, the installer put it in such a place that all of the wires wire pinched and chafing against the fuel cavity area.

Well.....

Apparently there really isn't any shorter ones, so I will have to drill another large hole nearby to accomodate the depth. I figure I'll do one of two things, either get a piece of aluminum diamond plate to cover it and to mount the new one in, or get a piece of flat stock, rivit it in place and have Line-X touch it up. What do ya think??

Worse than that, is that after really looking closely at the mess of wire he installed and tracing them out..... he f***ed up the whole thing to begin with. The brake controller ground wire was wrapped loose around the firewall- not making a great connection. The 12v constant lead to the trailer and the brake controller hot lead were both run on the SAME 14g wire on a 20Amp circuit- not the 12g for the brake and 10g for the constant that I supposedly paid for. He utilized an existing 16g wire to run the brakes- and drilled a hole in the body, didn't scrape the undercoat, then striped the screw for the trailer ground. It was so loose I could pull the screw out by hand!! So now it has turned in to a complete rewire job, just to be sure everything is correct. Pisses me off that I deceided to "leave it to a professional" instead of doing it myself. Now I've done it twice- both at my expense. Guess I learned my lesson. :(
