TRAN FLUID and FILTER CHANGE

I had my trans flushed and the filter changed at 30,000. I'm am currently at 60K and plan on having the system flushed again, should I have the filter change as well?

Yes! Do a search on this (TDR).

There is great info. on how this should be done.

The best way, is not the way the dealers and quick-lube joints do it.

I honestly wouldn't flush unless your trans oil is dirty. My question is whether the trans shop is flushing with ATF +4 or just regular trans oil. Chances are good that they are just using Dexron oil. So when they are done, you have a torque convertor full of Dexron and only 4-5 qts of ATF + 4. Lastly..... How clean is their trans flusher????? You could be getting some other guys contamination in your trans. My $0. 02

And YES, Always change the filter
