trans belt adjustment

Hi all,

Does anyone know the torque specs for the 04. 5 auto. We are installing the mag hytec dd pan and need to adjust the bands.

8 N-m or 72 inch-pounds front and rear band

Lock nut is 30 ft-ibs front

25 ft-lbs rear band lock nut



From the service manual, page 21-233

tighten 72 inch lbs. back out how many turns for each band?

2 turns for 2nd gear. 3 turns for Rev.

At what milage do you need to do this? Where are these nuts at for adjusting right side of case???
