Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) trans debris

I had my trans rebuilt at 33K by the stealer (4X) and after 10,000 miles, I dropped the transmission pan to find a lot of really fine brass and aluminum it looked like. The aluminum was directly under the filter, in a small cone shape, but that was all. Changed the oil, installed a new TC, shift kit etc. , then the pan gasket leaked (the new one by DC) so dropped it again after 600 miles. The pan had what I think is excessive really fine brass. Makes the oil look like a fine metallic paint in the light. What's normal? I've had earlier Dodges and don't remember this much stuff in them, but maybe I'm just overly critical due to the number of times the stealer had to get the trans right. I read in my TC installation instructions, if the TC gets cocked slightly it will eat up the pump bushing... what are the symptoms of that? I greased the nose of the converter and sanded the crank, pulled the bolts up evenly as I could, so I don't know what else I could have done. Any input please.
