Just got back from a 3000 mile trip from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania,Virginia and back. Pulling 37ft trailer at about 12k pounds, I checked the oil and trans fluid level at every fuel stop. In the W. Virginia and Penn. mountains trans fluid disapeared. About a quart 2 different times. Only in the long uphill grades, 4 to 5 miles at a time. I have the full BD trans with Mag-Hitec pan. Any ideas anyone? The other odd thing that happened is on the way back , the torque converter would not lock up on its own in OD. But manual mystery switch worked fine all the rest of the trip. Have not had any TPS problems in 3 yrs. last one was the newer TPS in a Cummins box. Thinks that is my problem or something else? Would welcome any help or suggestions. Thanks. LDP.

95'- 2500 ext. #6 tst, BD transmission 151k miles. New Goodyear G133 10 ply steel side walls on rear this week for trip. Really work for heavy trailer.

how long have you had the trans? when i got my trans done the dip stick tube for the trans didnt seal all the way. it didnt leak unless you were going down a hill or if you parked the truck with the rear higher than the front of the truck. just a thought.
