Hello all, Since I've been considering BOMBing the truck, I've been paying a whole lot more attention to its' mechanicals, since any future problems might very well be on me not Dodge if I do, so I'm checking the fluids and I loosen the plug on the driver's side of the transmission and the fluid starts pouring out, am I crazy, or shouldn't it be 1/4 inch below the hole?

Also, checked the diffs', and is the factory synthetic stuff STINKY? I mean bad stanky like a mean fart times 10 pardon my french.

Thanks in advance... Michael

Differential is supposed to be 1/4-1/2 below the plug, there should be a mark opposite the plug on the diff cover. Trans. is supposed to be to the plug hole. Normal for a little to run out.

for the diffs it is normal for them to be filled up to the drain plug. easy way for mechanics to tell when it is full. nothing wrong there other than the smell. :{
