This just started recently,

I have a DTT converter, and valve body in a recently rebuilt (10K) other wise stock trans... I towed after I got the truck back from the trans guy and it was fine. . Now I'm seeing temps of 150-170 just driving around my rural area... towed my trailer to the dump , total towed weight of 7K, and saw 200... towed last week about 14K, and saw 275... freakin' me out... my driving habit's haven't changed... no garbage surrounding the stock cooler... it's goin' into lockup. . why the sudden change... thinkin' about using one of Pro-Weld Super Coolers, but I don't want to throw a band aid on the truck... is there something I'm missing ?

Grateful for any suggestions...

Call DTT, they will help you figure it out. SNOKING

Sorry... I should have posted that info too. . sending unit located in-line, return, used an early trans return line from Gen 1... VDO gauge, clutch fan workin' fine... I can feel air pulling across the cooler... I'm calling DTT as we speak... or as you read...

What was the frontal area of those loads? That makes more difference than the weight on flat ground.

The historical data for the life of oil is all based on sump temperature.
