Transmission Rebuild/New Transmission

So, just had my Trans rebuilt at ATO. Shifts nice and firm, etc. However, it shifts from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, then locks up, then into fourth--really hard. Jim says it is a program issue and needs to be flashed...

Also, when passing, it rev's really high and hits governor, trying to go into 2nd. Won't go into 2nd until I back off pedal. (this was happening before re-build)

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, there is no flash to change the shifting algorithms in an 05 without losing efficacy. Part of the problem when building a VB is getting that 3-4 shift to be sooth and firm instead of harsh, Has a lot to do with the TC also, triple disks are notorious for being harsh on the pulsed 3-4 shift.

The way the programming is setup you cannot go WOT throttle under about 65 mph or it will try to downshift to 2nd and lose speed. You have to heavily modify the VB or train your right foot not to do that. After about 3/4 throttle and under 65-70 there is nothing gained there anyway, fueling won't be any more until speed and rpm gets high enough.
