Although is is steel and not aluminum, it serves a cooling/capacity purpose @ $100 cheaper than Mag-hytec. Are there any satisfied users out there?

I am very happy with my Mag-hytec double deep pan. i am not sure about this one. i think the Mag-hytec pan is prob a lot stronger as it is cast and not stamped...

new transmission pan

I don't see anything wrong with holding more fluid or having a drain plug, something Dodge was too cheap to provide. I went with the Mag type because being aluminum it would tend to dissapate heat better than steel (although I'm not sure it's that much better) but I got the Mag type also because it was drilled and tapped for a sensor for a trans temp guage, something I am a strong believer in. You could drill and weld/braze a fitting into the steel one for that purpose if you felt the need.

In general, aluminum conducts heat MUCH more effectively and more quickly then steel. That's probably why the MagHytec do not use or need to use a "turbolator" :-laf . NOT saying that this pan won't work well, but for a $100 difference, I'd stick with the tried and true and well reviewed MagHytech. Just my . 02. . though I don't have the MagHytech either.

Transmission pans ARE NOT Auxiliary coolers They Have Little to NO effect on Cooling. They Do however hold More fluid so reaching Max temps may take somewhat longer, the drain plug and the additional capacity is nice.

That model does NOT come with the spacer to lower the filter inside, it must be found elsewhere. One reason that I didn't purchase it.
