Changed the trans fluid about a month ago. Does anyone think I should re-torque the pan bolts  ? I originally torqued them at 150in. lbs. per D/C shop manual. No leaks, all is well. Could I tweek the gasket with a re-torque? Or, just leave well enough alone  ? Thanks everybody :D ... Patrick.

Hi Patrick... if you're having no leaks. . just let 'er be... overtightening is worse than undertight... .

I think they are around 18ft/lb torque

Patrick,

I changed mine out several months ago. I had purchased a gasket from the dealer, for not an unreasonable amount. It was very good quality. In fact, I was reusing the same one. I never considered torqueing the bolts... . but perhaps I should have. I used the old, gasp = 25 ft lbs, grunt = 50 ft lbs, uughhh = 75 ft lbs, and arrrauuughhhh = torqueing the lug nuts on a D350.

I do look underneath quite frequently on my road trips to make sure I'm going to get home. Good luck!
