Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Suspected boost leak

I installed a new T-case input seal and I assume the trans guy put a new rear seal on the trans when it was out and rebuilt. I have a leak coming from this area. I can see the drip there there the T-case and Trans bolt together. When I did the T-case seal I had to pull the bering retainer cover off and drive the seal in and put it back together. I looked for grooves and drug my finger nail along the area and it never caught anything. I used the new double lip seal as well. These are the only two seals that can cause this leak right? Both seals ride on the T-case input shaft as well right? The Rear trans seal rides on the T-case input shaft as the trans output shaft slides into the T-case input. If the speedie sleeves were a bit cheaper I would put them on both seals but at $40 a pop I'd rather not just throw them on there. Any thoughts? Anyone have the seal P/N's they use with good luck. I have found Timken, National and SKF seals.

I have two P/N for the input T-Case input seal:

BCA/NATIONAL Part # 710928 - Dual lip and I use one

or

BCA/NATIONAL Part # 3173 - Single lip and I would use two

Napa has NOS19255

I get this one for the rear trans output seal

ATP Part # TO38

Napa lists NOS19211 for the rear trans seal

Any thoughts?

You are correct that these two seals are the only place oil can come from in there (aside from the t-case bearing retainer - not likely) and also that they both ride on the t-case input shaft. The rear trany seal is probably the more likely one to be leaking. Also its not likely that your t-case input is worn to the point of leaking. Mine has 403k miles and doesn't have any seal grooves. Maybe one of the seals got damaged during installation.

I slid und ther truck last night and cleaned some things up so I can get a better idea where it's coming from. I noticed a couple drips where the case splits and at first I thought is was just from the wind pushing it back the case..... then I noticed one was a bit higher..... so i got the FSM out and the torque wrench and went around all the case bolts and they were a little loose. So I'll keep an eye on that and get the trans seal coming from Napa. It's a PITA but it's easier to pull the T-case than the trans.
