Just wondering, why does my transmission shift nice and hard under part throttle but @ WOT it does not shift firm at all. Just slides in. I still get the rpm drop and I notice that it has changed gears but only by sound and feel. It does not bang into gear like part throttle shifts. I dont know if they do this to keep you from braking things (back the line pressure off??) Just curious, any ideas??

I noticed that as well. I just had a local trans shop mess with my valve body this week. They firmed it up nicely for $250. It shifts cleanly and firmly at any throttle position now.

Yes Its the stock VB- Minus some springs and such now I assume :)

I can't believe what a difference this made for the price!

Mine JUST started to bark the tires if I take off normal from a stop and kick it down when its just about to shift. It will bark the tires pretty good!!! So I figure there is something about to go out on my transmission... . LOL It is doing the lets pick a gear game

Not sure why on stock trucks, but I can tell you they shift when built! Must have something to do with the VB and the programing. Put your truck in tow/haul mode and it's shift alot firmer.

@ WOT??? I think I had in in tow/haul if I remember right, as I just stoped in the middle of a country road to leave some BFG Mud Terrain rubber on there peasful road :-laf But I cant remember for sure. Its like it just slides in like its not adjusted quite right for WOT, but as Joe said at Suncoast "These newer trucks are fly-by-wire as they do not have the TV cable to adjust"
