i had a problem with what appeared to be he tc partially stayng locked up. *trucked bogged down when stopped at intersection, slugish when starting off. Searched around here, checked the normall things ; tv cable, tps, gov preasure syl, fuel systm, ect. hooked up snapp-on computer to it which led me in wrong direction completley. turned out to be the wireing harness in top, rear of moter, were it is attached to mounting stud. just beound, were the loom starts to dip down, it had, over time, worn through and was grounding out some off the wires going to the trans. just wanted to share solution in case anyone else had similiar problem. and before i found the prob, had a trans shop look at it and they said it was deffinatly the tc that was shot. possable the trans electronics too. truck is all better again... . hope this heelps some

With the vibrations from the cummins, many things get chafed. . I had a problem when I bought my truck, a wire rubbed on the frame just below the drivers lower intercooler boot and shorted my running lights out. Would only blow a fuse when I hit a bump. Man did I tear my hair out on that one. . Finally found it though. .

Good to hear you fixed it cheap instead of listening to a misdiagnosis. You would have had a new TC and the -same- problem. a real kicker.
