I have a Mag-Hytec pan and in stalled a Diprcol trans temp gauge a couple of weeks ago. I routed the wire from the back of the trans pan to the driver's side rail and then followed the steel lines up the rail to under the power brake assembly. I entered the cab through a rubber grommet in the firewall and then routed the wire to the gauge on an A piller.



When running the wire, I covered it with a 3/8 in "split loom" (its a type of black plastic semi-rigid flexible cable that is split down one side) cable to help protect the wire(I tie wrapped the cable every foot or so to keep it secure. I could have used 1/4 in but bought the wrong stuff. You can get it at Radio shack or Home Depot or the like.

The Diprcol gauge didn't come with ANY wire. Had to go buy some. Purchased some red wire at home depot and a spade connector for use with the sensor. I think the wire I got was 14 gauge. I probably could have used smaller but since it will be out in the elements and could pick up some snow and ice here I went with a heavier wire for the strength. I also used a diaelectric grease when I installed it and put heat shrink tubing over the spade connector and the wire joint portion of the cable (actually it covers part of the sensor also).

Nick, I just installed an Isspro transmission gauge in my DTT transmission with a Mag-Hytec pan it needed about 18" spliced between the probe and the wire coming out through the firewall. Instructions were online at Diesel Manor where I purchased my gauges.



I did not drain my pan! I did the old loosen the plug slowly and quickly screw in the probe thing. Loss less than a cup.



Also it does not matter which 2 wires join together, as they are not + or -. Wiretied that sending unit box to a large wire loom under the dash near steering shaft instead of trying to screw it to something or even worse the firewall.



You should not splice or add wire to the Isspro EGT wire. No need as there is plenty.



I got the white face with the blue glow. They are easy on the eye at night.



Mounted the triple pillar w/ boost, egt and trans. Monopod installed on steering column with fuel pressure gauge.
