I'm new to tdr and have a question about my trans temp. I live in AZ and wile towing my 11,000 pound trailer my x monitor hit over 250 degrees on several ocasions. Is this normal for the x monitor or do I need to get it feflashed. I have a black sport 3500 srw with helo 18" wheels and 35" bfg mt's, cummins all stock but not for long. Thanks mike :D

I just had my X-monitor reflashed, I got a 263 degree reading one day, took the truck to the dealer and was told that the gauge was way off. I called up BD and they confirmed that they know of the problem and a re-flash will solve the problem.

FYI, This is the second time I have had to send my monitor back to BD, (1st time was for a garbled display problem). I called and told them that it was the second time I had to send the unit back and they said they would pick up the return shipping. When I shipped the monitor to them both times and when I paid to have it shipped back to me the first time I shipped it second day air. After a week, I call and check on the monitor to see when it will be shipped and tell them that I need it back yesterday. They say it is fixed and they will ship it out that day... When I call back to get the tracking number I find out they shipped it to me ground UPS... What crap, they saved $3, but p#$%ed me off something fierce. I wish they had just told me they were that damn cheap and I would have paid for the extra shipping like I did every other time. I am not pleased that I have had to send the monitor back twice and am really not pleased at the penny pinching employed regarding the return shipping. The monitor has been out of my truck being repaired or mailed 33% of the time I have owned it. Crappy, IMHO.
