I happended to innocently notice :rolleyes::eek: than if I were to (not saying I would) goose the throttle many times in nutral on the auto (to hear the stacks and see smoke :D), the trans temp goes up. Why would it? The trans is not in gear. There is no load?



Also then, by process of elimination, I would then say that multiple goosing in nutral would be bad for the trans. Correct?



Again, not saying I did this, just asking! :D:-laf:D

Yes, it will. Practically, the only method to cool it is moving. You'd need air flow through that little cooler thing.



Unless, you have the under bed cooler w/fan or an electric engine fan clutch you could engage.
