can anyone tell me what the max trans temp should read for a 99 2500 towing 14,000 lbs, and where is the silencer ring on a stock holset?:

1) depends on where you are taking the measurement from

2) silencer ring is right inside the turbo inlet. take the inlet tube off and there it is held in with a snap ring.
