I am about to add the deep dish trans pan , the one that holds an extea 5 qts, to my 2005. I wiil be using ams oil trans fluid , and while i'm at it was thinking of changing the valve body. Some time down the line I would like to buy a smarty,as soon as I get info on fuel economy. I'm not interested in mutch more power . Am I just throwing my money away on a valve body? And if not who makes the best? One more thing when i change fluid is it ok just to remove what is in the pan or do I have to drain the TQ. Thanks Ski

no, you are doing the best possible thing. the amsoil, deep pan, and the valve body will ensure the longest life with your stock transmission--if i had a stock truck i would do something similar.
