Should be getting my Xmas bonus early, and want to make my stock 47RE a bit more bulletproof (has 35K miles on it). I run an Edge EZ and have felt an occasional chatter going into lockup under power so figure it would be money well spent. It currently runs +4 fluid (previous owner left bottle of it with truck).

Steps?

Valve body?

Torque converter?

Shift kit?

Or just have it serviced, bands adjusted and +3 put in?

Thoughts from the gurus plz... ... ... ... ..... :D

Yup, what Snow said. Go north, go north. Do it now while your transmission is in good shape then you will have to only do an upgrade kit, TC and valve body. It will be the best money you will spend on your truck if you intend to keep it. Give BillK a call.

Ps. After Bill does his magic on it you will then be able to run Dexron/Mercon, cheaper than Mopar fluid.

So I can't get this work done here in the Portland metro area???

Any idea on what this cost would be (for TC, VB and 'upgrade kit')?

TIA... ... ... ... ..... :D
