I have a loaded 06 auto 3. 73. Westech combo gauge . I have a smarty on the way and cant hardly wait. My question is,As far as the transmission goes, should I leave it alone for now & plan a complete upgrade after warranty expires OR go ahead with some mods to transmission now ? If so which mods? This is a daily driver that will see some use ,as a back-up to our 02 CTD . 18,000 current miles on 06. Thanks Tim

mods to your transmission can only help your case, as you are preventing impending transmission destruction, even so they can only void your transmission warranty if they found out you had it improved, that would be my reccomendation first. tq convertor and a valve body would be first priority. we offer HTS, suncoast, and NADP to our customers, most people on this site would agree these are some very well known companys and do provide good products. thanks

Does the transmission upgrade come with a warranty? If so, it might be as good as the 36k warranty from Dodge anyway. Of course, for my transmission, I upgrade it by changing the fluid every once in a while.

I upgraded my TC and VB at about 20000 miles on my truck. Have almost 50000 now, and have never had an issue. Even with no mods, I would suggest upgrading. It drives like a completely different truck. I went with Dave Goerend. Nobody can touch his warranty. Lifetime on the convertor, 100,000 on the valve body.
