Ever since I had my trans built with the suncoast converter,ATS valve body, all the other good parts ( By a Authorized ATS dealer) the trans wont shift out of first gear when in 4 wheel drive. Since then I installed the noise filter to correct the gear hunting problem asociated with electrical noise from the alternator, It's been back to the shop and diagnosed with all available scanners and no cure yet. It will shift up only if I exceed 25 MPH, which is usually at redline around 3200 RPM in 4 low. It seems the trans is not comunicating with the computer, at least that's what I've been told by the tech dept. at ATS. Does anybody have a cure for this issue ?

I had my 99's ATS trans installed at at Bellflower Trans. (562) 804-0406. Get hold of Bob he's the man when it comes to troubleshooting. Larry (the owner) can be a d**k at times but Bob is the man and the brains behind the shop.

Their shop was ATS premiere installer for quite a spell if they still arent.

Mac:cool:

Too much load on the engine making the ECM think "stay in low gear". Might want to get all 4 wheels off the ground, and check for binding with the 4wd engaged and in neutral. Maybe see if it shifts better off the ground (make darn sure you have good jack stands!!)
