a couple of months ago I started to notice that my shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd were not a crisp seem to slightly go into nuetral between gears, other than that have not had any transmission problems. I have only had the truck about 8 months and it now has 175K on it, but I did notice that there is sticker on the transmission with a skew number and a 1998 date on it so I assume its been replaced. Back to my question would a Transbutty help with the problem, I assume its from line pressure? Will be pulling the camper to Bristol next week for the race and am wondering if I should do anything to it or leave it for now.

I had a "Trans-Go" Shift Kit installed in my 96' when

it was pretty new. The "stock" transmission lasted me

until I got to 98,000 miles. At that point, the transmission

began "shuddering" and sometimes would not shift

properly going from 2nd to 3rd when towing my trailers. I feel that the shift kit really helped my stock transmission

last as long as it did.

Make sure on your transmission that the unit was

rebuilt as 175,000 miles is alot of miles to try and

raise up line pressures. If it has been rebuilt, I

would say you should be alright.

Hope this has helped some.
