Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transfer Case drain

I noticed on the back of the transfer case there are two pipe plugs, one almost over the other. Are these the drain and level check plugs?

And would this be the best way to change the transfer case fluid?

Yes, you are right, those are the drain/fill plugs. Just remove the plugs and drain the old fluid out, replace the lower plug, and fill to within 1/4" of the fill hole, thats it. Its ATF,BTW.
