Transfer case fluid change

What is involved in changing the fluid in the transfer case? How long should it take? What should it cost at the stealer?

remove the drain plug

let it drain

re-install drain plug

remove fill plug

fill with auto transmission fluid

re-install fill plug

done

maybe 15-20 minutes

What ever the Dealer charges would be too much.



Take Iceman's advise and DIY.



A big allen wrench (don't remember the size) and a piece of cardboard to funnel the draining oil is all that I would add.
