Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Transfer case issue

hello



When I put my truck in 2hi the 4x4 light comes on on the dash. When I put it in 4HI the light goes off . The 4 wheel drive also never engages. I have a vibration I can feel under the truck that seems to be coming from the t case.

Any ideas what it could be?? I checked the snap ring and it is fine.

The light on the dash indicates the Front end I believe, I would look at your vacuum module on the front axle sounds like it is not engaging all the way.

If you put the transfer case shifter in 4 wheel (low or High) you should not be able to turn the front drive shaft by hand with the truck in Park or gear (engine Off) if you can turn it then some thing is a problem at the T case.

The light is activated by the CAD in the front axle. Sounds like either a vacuum problem or the 4 hose connector on the top of the transfer case is installed wrong.

vaccum lines were crossed ********* all fixed
