I have been having a problem with my 94 auto 4x4. Once in a while, when the truck hits a bump, a loud vibration will occur, lasting about 5-10 seconds. It has been lasting longer and longer lately. I was directed to replace the stock snap ring with a transfer case saver kit. Today when i pulled it apart i found that the stock snap ring was fine. But the tail bushing and the slip-yoke shaft look pretty beat up. I called the place i bought the kit from and they seemed to think something must be bent. So im thinking my best bet will be to replace the transfer case adn slip-yoke. I wanted to upgrade the t-case to a 241 DHD anyways, because im planning to do some engine work in the spring, so it may need the heavier t-case. Am i on the right track here? if so, where is the best place to get a replacement/upgrade t-case and slip-yoke for this truck. Well i better head back out, and finish putting it back together!

thanks in advance for any help

thanks for the reply, but if i can, i would like to do most repairs myself. What would i be learning if i took it to the repair shop every time something went wrong?

Anyways, i think i found a DHD transfer case, with a slip-yoke. What years of DHD's will work with the 94 47RH transmission. I know i will have to swap out the rear driveshaft yoke, but what about input shafts?

Or does anyone know the spline count and shaft size that the 94 47rh would have? Atleast this way i can check it against the one i go look at.

I tried searching the forum but couldnt find anything.

For now I got the truck back together and its working, but not sure how long for!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Like I said find a drive line shop , what I am saying , is this is where you can find parts & have any drive shaft mods , balance .
Most of the drive line places I know of do not take in hole cars trucks , just the parts .
You did not interpret my reply correctly .
