This is not mean't to go against anyone or Transfer Flow what-so-ever. Transfer Flow makes a top quality fuel tank as we have installed a couple of them and they are working out flawlessly. Has anyone attempted to install the 54 gallon midship tank and the 38 gallon AFT tank to work in unison on a 01 Dodge, Quad cab lon bed 4X4? Yes, I have seen it posted that the two do not work together!! Surely, someone is a diehard fabricator and has tried this at least once? Just would like to know if anyone was stubborn enough to give it a go and what problems did you run into? It would be nice to have approximately 100 gal of diesel on board.

If you tell me it is not worth the effort, I will respect your input. Thanks!!

suggest a call to Transfer Flow ... great folks there and very helpful

they are located in Chico. Calif... maybe one of them has done it

Thats a lot off fuel and still only go 1300 miles. You Will have to get a loan to buy the tanks than rob the bank fill up. just a thought

both tanks are a no go

I called Transfer Flow and both tanks will not work together. There is not enough room to run the Aft tank's fuel fill hose to the fuel fill door. Transfer Flow is a great company to deal with. It was a great idea but I guess it will not be a happening thing. The replacement midship tanks are top quality and it would have been great to install another 38 gal where the spare tire is. At 20 mpg on the road we are talking of a potential range of 1,800 miles.

The factory 36 gal tank is not enough.
