Has anyone here installed the 60 gal tank for the 4x4 CC long bed ? Giving thought to it. Also, any way of getting a break on the price that you know of? Thanks.

There is a thread of a very good install by a TDR member on a third gen. I think, with pictures and instructions, that would probably help on a 4th gen.

I've toyed with the idea for my truck too. Its my only option as we have a slide in truck camper. About the only break I've seen is install for $99 offerings in the mail at their plant/store/shop in northen CA. I'm planning on doing it this coming spring. The extra 25 gallons of fuel onboard will come in handy for us when we're loaded up with the camper and trailer. It will mean more camping round trips with no fuel stops and when running empty will mean very long runs per tank.

I even called them, the Miles Per Empty will not work any more with the new tank.

Titan tank

Haven't you guys ever heard of TITAN Fuel tanks? I had one of these on my '05. They are made out of the same material as the stock tanks and I believe they are also alot cheaper. They also use the factory tank straps compared to bolting to the frame. Just my opinion.

Bug Out,

I installed the 60 gallon Titan on my 2012 just about three weeks ago with a couple of friends helping me. They are not made of the same material as the stock tanks (much heavier duty) and also do not use the factory tank traps. It came with straps that are about twice as wide as the factory straps. The hardest part of the install was getting the holes in the straps to line up with the studs on the crossmembers. A bit of bending took care of that. I am completely satisfied with it and wish I had done it on my 2002. Yes , the distance to empty on the EVIC does not work as stated.

Does your low fuel light pop on?

I haven't gotten it that low yet, but all else should work as usual except the DTE on the EVIC. I still have the stock tank I'm trying to get rid of. BTW the TITAN holds exactly 60 gallons.

Had the Transfer Flow 60 gal tank installed in Houston 3 months ago. Well made and fits nicely; it hangs below the frame rails a few inches, but not as low as the low point on the diff, so if you are off-road you'll need to be careful. It is pricey and heavy (which is why I had it installed). The fuel gauge reads accurately with the new tank. I really like it because it means we are not trying to look for diesel at the end of day's drive with the fifth wheel.

I have a 50 gallon Transfer Flow tank on my 4x4 CC Long Bed. I love it. No price break that I know of unless you happen to find a tank at an installer that has been returned or is imperfect.
