Well I just got done installing a 50 gallon Transfer Flow Aux fuel tank in my nieces 2002 CTD quad cab short bed auto trans 4x4. In the past I have found some aftermarket stuff to be sorely lacking in engineering, design, parts missing or instructions that consist of a photo taken from 100 yards away and then photo-copied two hindered times. I was pleasantly surprised to find none of that was the case with this installation. It took about two hours. I had just done one in my father-in-laws 99 Ford PSD crew cab so that helped but the Dodge is a cleaner easier installation (duh). Next is the tank and tool box model going into my truck,I'm looking forward to it now that I,vie learned some tricks on the other two. I have a few tips or thoughts on the installation in a 98-02 Dodge if anyone wants to hear them let me know via a reply. I can,t wait to put one in my truck remember the only time you have too much fuel is if you're on fire!!

For the most part, I agree with you. But, there were a couple of gotcha's on my install for the 38 gal. aft tank. Not a big deal. It did allow me to test their technical support however. I'd rate their product a 10, their documentation an 8, and their technical support a 9. Those are high marks in my book. I'm sure they have corrected the omissions by now... If they fixed the omission, I’d rate their documentation a 10 too.

But when they tell you to drill two holes in the rear bed support (nice and simple right!), be aware you will need a 90 degree 3/8" drill and a drill bit cut down to about one inch! The glaring omission was that they forgot to mention the installation of the transfer pump!

P. s. Their fuel gauge is wonderful. If you put a switch in for the controller, you can turn off the transfer-flow off if you want to keep your aft tank full for some reason (like extra weight for ride control). Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to technical aspects I’m very critical (it’s my nature and my job). If someone were to ask me if I would recommend their product, I would unhesitating, definitely, say - YES!
