Decided to add an aux fuel tank from Transfer Flow. Considering the tool box version at this point. The 30 gal toolbox is suppose to be 5. 5 cu ft and I believe the 50 gal version says 9 cu ft. How DEEP are these tool boxes. Telling me how many cubic feet they are really doesn't tell me much Anyone have one of these aux tanks with the toolbox built in them?

Tanx in advance. ;)

Yes, I have one. It is the 30 gallon model. I have had it for about a year and a half. I am very happy with it. I installed myself. The install wsa written up in the TDR.

As it sits in the bed, it comes level with the top rail. It comes back about 18". That is all the bed space that I was willing to give up. I only fuel once a month now with my driving. It made it practical to go to the truck stops to get better / less expensive fuel. I save about $20. 00 every time I fuel. No problems with it at all.

Tanks

I just purchased the 78 gallon wedge tank from these guys American Tank I'll be installing it today. So far everything seems to be of good quality. Their tanks have a fuel level sending unit in them that is wired to the fuel gauge through a selector valve and switch. I mounted the switch in the worthless hole in the dash.

Their prices seem to run about $200. 00 less than Transfer-Flow for a simular sized tank. They also have several toolbox tanks.

HI Runaway

I got the 50 gal. tank and tool box really like it.

Idon,t know the exact depth but i can lay gal.

jugs of oil on edge. theres a cover in the center

about afoot sq. and 1 inch deep , that covers the

hoses and wires. I can get alot of stuff in there

if it,s loaded right. If you need exact numbers let

me know.

HAVE A GOOD ONE

R. ebel,

Thanks for posting that website. I've been in the market for an aux tank and they have some really cool stuff to offer... again, thanks a bunch.

On the Transferflow site use the navigation tabs to find the dimensions. I have been there and it does exist.

Tanx for the info!

R. ebel and Ramboy, thanks for additional websites.

Eshaw, been on the website also, know the dimensions overall, don't know the depth of the tool box section.

If indeed the toolbox is 8" or so I could live with that.

I looked at the other sites, but I really like the Transfer Flow setup better. Looks like you would have less chance of running a tank dry, and then having to reprime.

Those of you with aux tanks, are you running a filter on them?

Tanx again!
