Mine is leaking and needs to be replaced.
There is some great info in the service manual about complete transfer rebuild but not much about a front input seal only.
Is this a regular seal that can be picked out and a new one driven in carefully:confused:
Truck has 38k now and is falling apart#@$%!

Need a little more info on which seal it is and how you determined which one is at fault. Most of the time it is the output seal on the trans and not the input of the t-case. The only way to figure it out is to pull them apart. You may also want to check to make sure you don't have a leak from the cooler lines. You should be able to get a CR or National seal to replace the bad one. When I rebuilt my t-case I get the parts from Mack's Standard Transmission 1-800-392-8607 - Standard Manual Transmission Parts - Houston, Texas. HTH.

Transfer was low about 1 qt.

Fluid leaking is atf red.

transmission is full.

After simple green and power washing area it is wet at seam between transmission and transfer where they bolt together with red oil.

Mabey to be sure i will do both seals when transfer is out.

I dont think i have to worry about this truck rotting out because the rest is failing at a rapid pace now at 38k#@$%!
