i purchased an 01 cummins about 6 months ago. ;) i was talking to a friend at work who has owned cummins. he started telling me that the transfer pump in the rear typically runs at 12-15 psi and it will fail and then wear out the injector pump front then it is good money to get it fixed. he said the transfer pump has a 70,000 mile life and there is no way of knowing when it gets below 12 psi unless you test it regulary. is this true and if so he told me about a kit you can buy to tie it into your brake dummy light, so that will turn on if it drops below 12 psi. where do i purchase this? let me know, thanks
