Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transflow fuel tank question

My friend has a 2008 dodge 3500 he put the transflow 60 gallon fuel tank on it . Now he wants to get out from under the truck payments. My question is will the transflow tank fit my 1997 ram 3500 and my stock tank fit his truck seeing he doesn't have his stock fuel tank?

I don't know, but as a sugestion, go to their website and see if they are the same part numbers. Worst case, ask them.
