I installed my transgo kit the other day. My line pressure is 80psi at idle in gear and 150psi with the convertor at 1800 rpm. The shifts are still soft and the 2nd to 3rd shift does not come soon enough. Wide open it shifts at 3200.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong.

I am a newbie transmission guru.

Thats part of my 48re sitting on the cart. this is my first going in a vehicle although the first was built for the transmission dyno at school. I am spending every dollar I can to make mine tough and perfect. I am very picky and haven't been liking one of my parts suppliers and ATS is frucking rediculous. I ordered from ATS on the 21 and they sent my order out on the 28th. Thats some bullcrap. then PATC has been packaging there parts pretty dern silly with has lead me to throw away alot of brand new never used but contaminated clutches. Also PATC has been saying such as such part fits a A618 or a 48RE when I open the box I have A518 or 46re parts that dont fit my app. I did recieve one red eagle clutch that was made improperly of which I had to throw out. but I learnt alot from this project. after taking one of my 3 A518/A618 manuals to the bathroom with me close to 20 or 30 times I think I might be able to help you. just let me come back to this post after i lookup the transgo kit. I didn't know transgo made one for the 03 up diesels

WHat the crap Why cant I simply upload a pic straight from my computer on to TDR. The TDR insert pic button only lets you upload from the internet which promotes copyrighted images to be illegally posted here. That was my own pic I tried to post but I honestly can't view it from the link on the thread. how frikin stupid.

hey there are 3 different kits that transgo offers for the 48RE. What P/N do you have on the box. Also what are you doing with this truck and what are you expecting?????

sorry i tried the book I need right now is up the road at the storage facility. The ATSG book I have here in front of me is a piece of dog crap. I would go get it but I am waiting on my ATS billet input, ATS race valve body (i didn't want to fool with it but wanted the Whiplash shifts), Billet Flexplate, ATS converter(have brand new never used banks but I will sell it cuz the ATS is worth the extra penny to me for racing). its been 3 weeks and I am still waiting on a ride to the dealer to order bearings, seals, bushings, OD overrunning clutch, a new pump, filter, and OEM style reusable gasket for the transpan and both differentials. I also need a ride to go pick up some teflon tape, teflon paste, lock tite, sleeve retainer, silicon, a funnel (so I don't have to make one like I ussually do out of paper), spray paint to candy cane my driveshaft and paint the transmission case, inch lb torque wrench and a ft lb torque wrench. Hopefully on the way home I will be able to find a common sense tree so I can pick some common sense from it. Thats my build up I will post the details of the entire thing later on when I get into re assembly mode

Thanks for the help. I cant find any part numbers on the box... I have the dodge shop manual. I borrowed it from the dealer.

I think I am going to create a parts list and start ordering some parts. This shift kit was kind of a play around project.

I am going with HTS parts. His priciing is nice and his customer service is even better.

If I was close I would pick you up!
