transmission 1 month out of warranty

My dads 99 2500 4x4 has 35K and is 3 years and 1 month old. transmission started poping out of gear and slipping today. Truck is bone stock. Question is, willl the dealers laugh at him for warranty work or is it worth a shot to see if they'll look at it. Any advice appreciated.

Worth A try.

You will never know unless you try. I would try more than one if you have them in the area. Some will go out for you others won't give you the time of day.

It might help to contact the Chrysler regional office if the dealer can't do anything. Take a cool approach and ask them to help you.

give it a shot , is this an automatic ? best case is they will do it no problem , nextr best is you pay a small amount , worst case is they try to soak you for a rebuild . if they try to soak you for a rebuild find a DTT authorized shop , they know what to do to fix the mess chrysler installed behind the cummins ...
