Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I was driving up a huge hill and when my trans shifted into 5th gear it was toast. My good friend is a transmission guy and says the input shaft shattered and pretty made a mess of everything. He is replacing the shaft with a billet one after some discussion I decided to spend a little more for another billet shaft that is internal with not so easy access if it goes in the future. The output shaft is easier to replace he says and doesnt do damage so I can do this later when I can afford it. He is also sending out the Billet torq converter out to be rebuilt and installing a new fluid pump and shift kit.
My question for anyone with great knowledge of Dodge trannys is it worth it to do all this or is this transmission toast and not to expect any good milage out of it. What else could beef this baby up. I want some serious milage this time. I also looked into other company trannys and they all do not cover blown input shafts no matter how many miles you put on them within their warranty.
Dodge (if your listening) Allison may want a non bankrupted automotive company to deal with. Maybe GM broke their contract.
