Getting ready to service the '99 shortly and need some ideas as to a possible transmission problem.
transmission attempts to up-shift right around 26-29 mph under light to medium throttle especially right at/after going around a sharp curve or slight incline on the road. Almost like you're "goose'n" the throttle- up/down, up/down etc until you finally reach about 30 and it shifts into third. Cold or hot, doesn't seem to make a difference. Truck is always loaded- work body on it. transmission is a DTT but I'm sure it's nothing to do with any of that itself and with the Smart Controller off, the up-shifting seems worse.
Is there something I should look for with the transmission pan and filter off, test, adjust etc? I'd rather take it to a DTT installer but at the moment, that's out of the question as there a none even close to me.
Thanks!
