I did the dpf/egr delete 1600 miles ago. I used the smarty 67me program set on 3. This morning when I started the truck I got a check engine light. I checked the code when I got home using the smarty. It came up with P0700 which is telling me there is a code in the transmission controller. The transmission seemed to shift good today. Is there a way to get the code without going to the dealer? The truck has 101600 miles and has towed very little in it's life (maybe 10000 miles and then max 9000 pounds). Will I need to reinstall all the deletes and return to stock program before taking in if it has to go to the dealer?

Will the one that autozone uses to read codes read the transmission code? What would be a good reader to read the transmission code?

since you wont be able to repair the trans yourself you might as well save your time and sanity take it to a good repair facility.

When I got in the truck yesterday the check engine light was out and when I checked the code again it was gone. Must have been a one time event. I would like to know what the code if it returns as finding a trustworthy transmission shop is sometimes difficult around here, escpecially one to work on the 68RFE. And at this time I can't afford a huge repair bill for something minor, if there is such a thing on this transmission.

The code will still be stored,so a scanner will be able to pull it up. There are 2 tsb's for the 68's in an 07 both are for flashing, one is for a possible erroneous code one for harsh downshift. If you take your truck into the dealer they can pull your codes and do the flash relatively inexpensively
21-019-07,18-037-07 are the tsb's

The flashes have been done. I had those done this summer due to the harsh downshifting. I will call my dealer and see when they can get it in to check the codes. The only dealer around here I trust is 40 miles away.
