Question?

What is that round cannister thing-a-ma-bob on the passenger side of the engine under the turbo? Can't find anything about it in my chilton manual.

I want to add another transmission cooler( hayden 15k heavy duty, from my ol' 454) after the somewhat small one up front on the drivers side. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance to all that reply.

That little thing-a-mee-bob is DC's idea of a trans. cooler

It is the "first in line" cooling as it goes to the one in front of the rad. Personally, I thinks it's a daft place to put a cooler, but hey, I'm not like the mechanical geniuses DC has doing there stuff ;)

Anyway, I hope that helps.

BTW, I'd second the idea of putting an aux. cooler after the one's already on the truck. Lets face it, they are subjected to turbo heat, block heat, engine coolant temps etc.

If you're really looking to keep things cool, give some thought to the Mag-Hytek pan. It does help a fair bit and you can put a transmission temps sensor right in the pan.
