Transmission/Differential cover gaskets

'05. 3500, 6-speed standard, two-wheel drive. I'm changing the transmission

and differential lube. Am I correct in assuming that the cover or access

gaskets should be replaced? Thanks again for your help.

diff gaskets are reuseable if not damaged. they are rubber coated steel. .

the pto covers on the transmission are just silicone. . they need to be remade once opened up

You can drain and fill the transmission (NV5600 or G56 ?) w/o removing the covers. There are drain and fill plugs for this.
