Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission dipstick difficult to guage...

Anybody know a trick to improve the clarity of the dipstick? I check it in neutral, engine warmed, on level surface but its still not really clear where the level is. . (I'm leaking a quart a week now, 184k on clock) I do have a magHytec pan I wonder if thats the problem???

I don't think it matters much if you have the MAG-HYTEC pan or not, that wouldn't account for your oil consumption. Are there any obvious leaks? Also you might try lightly spraying the end of the dip stick with a white paint, should show-up better. Good luck

Stupid question I'm sure, but after you run it through the gears and put in "N", do you wipe off the dipstick first and then reinsert it, then check it? If not, there's your problem.
