Happy New Year everybody. Nice sunny day so I decided to try the 68rfe fluid change described in issue 64. All is well except I can't seem to get the oil seal out of the pump housing. Instructions that came with the filter from Genos said Warning: oil seal must be installed to pump first, and not onto oil filter to avoid seating problems. That puppy is really well seated and I think I gotta destroy the old one to get it out--then some how install the new one and get it seated right. Anyone done this before and could share some advice? I'm shut down and miss driving my truck already. Thanks guys.

I changed mine when I put a new Mag-Hytec pan on last year. I used a seal pick to pull out the old seal. I then installed the seal in the pump before putting on the filter. It is hard but doable just take your time and be patient.

It does help when the truck is on a lift to do this.

Thanks Jim

Sure was glade to hear from you. With your advice, Im gonna be rolling the white beast down the road this afternoon. Thank you.
