transmission fluid info

I have a 2007 3500 dually used for hauling a fifthwheel. I change fluid every 15000 miles plus filter. Have used Mopar atf+4 but having problems locating. Pennzoil and Castrol now have atf+4 for Chrysler vehicles available in addition to Vavoline. Has anyone used any of these products? What do you suggest?

Any ATF+4 transmission fluid which is licensed by Chrysler is fully synthetic, has been tested and approved by Chrysler, and is in every way as good as the Mopar branded product. That includes the cheaper house brands of fluid sold by places like WalMart and some of the chain auto parts stores. Don't be fooled by more expensive brands trying to trick you into paying more because their product is "synthetic. " ALL ATF+4 is fully synthetic!

Thats what I use and their 15-40 oil

I've been using the Valvoline for about 30K now and no problems at all.

I use Amsoil Universal ATF in my '07's G-56. It's recommended by Amsoil but not licensed by Chrysler as an ATF+4. It gave me marginally better cold shifting performance. If I had an expensive warranty- covered auto,I'd probably stick with an ATF+4 of any brand. Keep your receipts.

I agree with John.

Any brand name ATF-4 meeting MOPAR specs (printed on the container) is completely acceptable.

Keep in mind, one of the big name oil companies refines and bottles MOPAR fluids for MOPAR. MOPAR does not own any refineries and doesn't bottle any lubricants.
