Whats the differance between Mopars ATF-3 and ATF-4. The parts guy at the dealer told me that ATF-4 was for the 2001's and you HAD to use that or your transmission would not work properly. Is that true? I think that I have both in my transmission right now. Is that a bad idea?

Thanks

Troy

The atf is down ward compatable. You can use +4 IN PLACE OF 4 OR 3+, 4 IN PLACE OF 3+ BUT CAN NOT USE 3+ IN PLACE OF 4 OR 4+. You can not use 4 in place of 4+.

jack , i understand completely ... ?????

you can mix the 2 , but i would use the +3 , the +4 has more lubegaurd , to keep the TC shudder gremilin at bay , its a friggin bandaid that is going to cause problem elsewhere in the fluid is to slippery . why do you think guys with STOCK rams are slipping the TC ?????

DC WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!
