Dodge Caliber- any good?

Supercharged INSANITY!

Hey guys,

We have an 05 ford expedition. I want to change the fluid in the transmission. Do you know if it has a drain plug in the torque converter? If it does do you know how much fluid it would take?

Thanks

Jeff

The older 4R100 had a drain plug, so I'm going to assume here that yours does.

If you don't have the owner's manual to know for sure, best advice I can give is with just a pan & filter change, you're probably going to get 4-5 quarts.

With a converter drain you'll be in the neighborhood of 12 or more.

Usually if you drain the converter, put in about 7 quarts, run it through the gears, and check it. Keep adding and running it through the gears until you get to the full mark. It could take as much as 16-17 quarts, not really sure.

Hope this helps a little,

Dan C.
