Wal Mart tech ATF+4 is the same fluid as Mopar ATF+4 @ $2. 00 a Qt less or more. All ATF+4 is license and manufacture under the same agreements. Only relabel at retail sales.

Thanks Guys, I will be getting my truck tomorrow and wanted to know some of these things for when I need them.

As mentioned already, all *licensed* ATF+4 is fully synthetic, whether it's Wal-Mart's house brand or Chrysler's own Mopar brand. This is Chrysler's official web site for ATF+4:

Mopar ATF+4, 42,000 plowing, towing, beating the crap out of it miles. Waiting for it to grenade so I can get a goerend trans... ... ... ... ? Dodge really figured it out with the 48re, no matter what anyone says. So far it has beaten the crap out of dad's 4r100 and brother in laws Allison (both rebuilt before factory warranty expired). I'll take the super expensive Mopar stuff, it's still cheaper than a transmission.

Amen to that, I love the 48RE for many reasons but 5 or 6 gears is better than 4. But still as far as durability and ease of service or rebuilding it is hard to beat.
