Havin transmission probs on my nv4500... got most of it fixed and need to know which type of fluid i can use. On the side of the transmission it says Use Castrol Syntorq LT or a chrysler brand transmission fluid or immediate damage will occur. I cant find either type of fluid but i have found the same wieght fluid but it is CASTROL HYPOY C for heavy duty truck systems low speed high torque applications... ... also good for highspeed shock load..... anybody that knows if this is safe to use please respond... feel free to call me to 801 791 0301... im in UTAH... thanks in advance. . my name is zack

I have the NV5600 6 speed but hopefully this link will answer all of your questions. I have used Amsoil Series 2000 75W-90 in my Nissan 5 speed manual with VERY VERY good results. Made the transmission quieter and shift smoother.

Hope this helps get you back up and running! Good luck! :)

Thanks guys for the inputs... To get out of my bind i had to end up using MOBIL 1 Fully Synthetic 75w-90..... it is gl-5 rated but the parts guy siad with synthetic that will be allright... said it wouldnt hurt any yellow metals because it was synthetic... ... ... explained that if it wasnt synthetic and was gl-5 rated he wouldnt reccomend it... ... . He drove a cummins and said this is what he uses... I'm still alitl worried i might mess something up... can anyone tell me their experience with this fluid?
